:D
3 or 4 days after service noticed a roaring sound from behind dash when heater fan turned up! Back to dealer and mechanic came out removed glove box and cabin filter (I would have spent ages looking for the filter under the bonnet!) put her hand in and after a wiggle or two pulled out a 'D' shaped hollow rubber "bump stop"?!? that had dropped from somewhere into the path of the fan - sorted - but she said they've come across these before dropping into the fan but have no idea of what they are for or where they've come from! The flat side shows signs of double sided tape that has obviously failed.
Any ideas?

Ah, the mystery part solved. I found one of those in the passenger footwell area a few years back now. I never did try and find out what it was for and where exactly it had come from.

Now that's interesting! Wonder if its a backstop for the glovebox itself?
