Sat nav changing to cockpit view all by itself!

Has anyone else experienced the sat nav screen changing to cockpit view without any user input? Has happened on my car a few times recently and despite me then changing it back to the normal 2D view it will then change to cockpit view all by itself a short time later. 
I will reboot the system as hopefully that will fix the problem but just curious as to why it was happening.
