Anyone else suffering from this on their entertainment screen. I first noticed it about 2 years ago and it has now spread about 1cm from the bottom left corner outwards in spiders web pattern. I have been looking at ND MX-5's and a few have had the same issue.

Has anyone else on here suffered the same problem and have you tried to get Mazda to replace the screen, either in or outside warranty?

Yes, I had it on my CX-3. I bought a replacement glass digitizer screen from eBay and used a YouTube video to fit it.

Part e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403899801837

I can't remember which video I followed for fitting, but it was one similar to this one -

(I put the bezel with the glass screen in a warm oven for a while to soften the glue)

If you go to Mazda they will want to replace the complete MZD Connect CMU.

You legend. Thanks very much. I feel a project coming soon.Had a little chuckle watching the video when he refers to the rotary controller as the "captains knob"!

Touch screen replaced and took about an hour to do. The hardest bit was removing the adhesive from the screen surround. I soaked the surround in very hot water and then used IPA and razor blade to remove the adhesive.

It was all going to plan until the moment I removed the protective film from the new touchscreen when an Amazon delivery arrived and I had to down tools at the critical moment. As a consequence of this I forgot to replace the seal between the touchscreen and the LCD which cost me another 5 minutes.

Well worth doing yourself to save some money. All you need is a 10mm socket, a crosshead screwdriver, a small plastic spudger to remove the trim and a pair of white cotton gloves to avoid getting finger prints on either the touchscreen or LCD. There is no need to remove the whole head unit, just remove the screen by unplugging the two cables and 4 screws.

Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The new touchscreen seems to make the display both clearer and sharper than the original.

Yes, my screen is gradully delaminating top middle edge, asked Mazda and they said the cost would be over £1K to replace screen - I declined! Not too bothered to tell you the truth.

I wasn't too bothered when I thought it would be big bucks to fix but it still annoyed me every time I drove the car. When I realised a DIY fix was £35 and 1 hour of my time then it was a no brainer to sort it.
