I still think the control panel on my car will need replacing once the condensor has been changed. Currently I only get cold air out the vents when it is set to the minimum of 15, although it is only mildly cold if there is such a thing!

Mazda tell me that they have condensers. My car is booked in to the dealers next Wednesday.

It sounds like you have lost gas out the system. Suggest you book it in for a repair or replacement.

It is booked in for Mon 22nd May to have the condensor replaced. I do get some cold air when the air con temp is set to either the minimum or one up from the minimum setting, although it isn't the normal icy cold feeling for those settings. They must be regassing the system as part of the work so will see how it turns out. Fingers crossed. I can dream that they'll have a MX-5 for use as a courtesy car :) Knowing my luck it'll be a Fiat Doblo as they are a multi franchise Mazda/Kia/Fiat dealership site :(

I think you will have to dream about the MX5. I don't even get that when my MX5 goes in for any work to be done. You will be better off with a Kia than a Fiat. Hope it all goes well.

Is it only UK cars that have issues with the air con? Can't say I can see much about it on the US forum?

No issues with the air-con in my CX-3, works a treat. And I live down under where it's an optional extra in many cars.
