We would like to appoint a moderator or two to the forums, just to help with moving topics, spam or basic housekeeping.

Would anyone like to volunteer or any recommendations for someone?

Thanks

My recommendation based on personal experience on several forums is Anchorman :D sorry Don
and JTonline seems to have valuable input and appears on a regular basis.

I hope you don't mind me recommending you Gents, but you both appear coolheaded and post on a regular basis and I believe have experience in these matters.

I’m quite happy to do it as long as you (Rob) understand that I’m moderating two other forums - I do look at this forum at least once a day and could nip this spamming in the bud.

I also recommend JT as he looks in frequently and as stated is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Thanks for the votes guys. I’m also quite happy if somebody else wants a go????

Thanks for the recommendations ;) . As things stand at the moment, I'm happy to do a bit of moderating here after work if invited to do so.

Back in the old days ('98 to '02) I was a voluntary forums moderator for Virgin Net and also Bush Internet TV.

Thanks everyone, I'll look into the settings and see how I set someone up.

I'm happy to set you both up, it won't do any harm and will certainly reduce any pressure you may feel particularly with everyone having other commitments too, although I shouldn't imagine there will be a lot of work.

Thanks again :)

Hi All,

Rob (Site Admin) has set me up with Moderator privileges today. This means that my forum username is displayed in green, but more importantly, means I can delete posts from anybody I don't like the sound of

I'll be pleased to bin those spammers as soon as they pop up.

Cheers
