Hi,
Just got my new CX3 after having traded in my Mazda 6. Well it was 10 years old, but good for another 10 years. Best car I've ever had so the CX3 has a lot to live up to. I needed a higher car due to back problems hence the choice. Its a Sport Nav + with 18" wheels.I'm still getting used to the electronic handbrake, keyless ignition and all the other bells and whistles that the 6 didn't have. I reckon I'll be able to fly a Jumbo jet when I'm used to the car! I did belong to the Mazda 6 forum that I found very useful, hence my search for a CX3 similar site. Managed to obtain a number plate ending 'GFE' which is the nearest I can get to a personalised plate!!
Looking forward to swopping experiences.
Beezageoff,
Norfolk.

Hi Eddie and welcome to the forums. I think you posted in the wrong place which is why you haven't had any responses.

Hi Everyone

I'm new to this site. Was looking for info on why my engine screams on starting from cold. Sounds like my foot is to the floor on the excelorator in first gear!!

Mine is a 2019 CX3 2.0 Automatic. I have read some comments that appear to state that this is normal. Anyone have anything further to add 🙂

Just navigate to the Main Mazda CX3 Chat or Faults & Technical forum and post your query.

I wouldn't say your engine should 'scream' on starting. However, there is often a raised idle speed which Mazda's do for early activation of catalytic converter and improved gas purification reasons. You could take your car to a Mazda dealer and ask them to check if everything's OK.
