Hi All,

Found the web page on Thursday, Anchorman know his stuff.Thanks.

I have just bought my Sport Nav privately from a genuine seller.Great fun to drive after 20 years of BMW 3 series coupe's.

Only problems that I have picked up are Ally corrosion to the 18 inch wheels, clearly a manufacturing fault as the lacquer has lifted in several non stone chip area.Replacement wheels warranty claim?

The A/C condenser was picked up as being faulty at a 49K service 2 weeks ago and is now on order at my local dealer.

A lot of stone chips on the leading edge of the bonnet.

Toyos all round, are these any good?

Thanks to all for a great forum,I have learnt a lot about the car in a short space of time on here.

Kind Regards

Graham

Welcome to the world of CX-3 ownership Graham and congratulations on updating your location details and car spec. Makes it a lot easier for other owners when replying to any queries you raise.

Re alloy wheel corrosion, if you haven't seen this thread I suggest you check it out :-
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=757&hilit=alloy+wheel+corrosion

Re A/C - I'd strongly recommend you insist your dealer changes the control unit (the 3 dials bit) as this is known by Mazda to have logic problems which weren't fixed till Sep 2016. See my link on this page viewtopic.php?f=11&t=842&start=180 for the technical service bulletin (TSB) covering this problem. Best to phone up the dealer about it early next week so they can order the revised part and then fit it when carrying out the condenser replacement

Re stone chips on bonnet - this seems to be a fairly common problem due to the modern type of water based paint :(

Re Toyos- I've got them on mine and they seem fine for handling and wear. Mind you, I'm not one to drive my car like I stole it so I guess it depends on your driving style :)

Most of all - enjoy driving your Sport Nav and all the toys.

As above alloys and air con are warranty claim.

Toyos are fine.

Pictures when you can.

Welcome Graham, I recently had both my rear wheels changed under warranty due to corrosion - no problems at all, but I wonder about the long term viability of owning Diamond cut alloys, I can't see a decent way of keeping them tip top for years!
Re the A/C, several posts on the issue and take heed of what Steve has said above.
Stone chips - yup! I've been advised to buy Chipex repair paint - yet to do it though.

Just bought the Chipex touch up paint pack - 10% off using 'MAY 10' at the checkout (not sure if there was a space between MAY and 10? try it either way and it should work).

Not to hijack Graham's post too much! But...
There's a few here into detailing (grumpydad being a specialist and supplier) so you're in good company 8-)
I was also thinking of Gtec C5 but I wonder how good some of these new nanotec sealants are or are they just 'snake oil'?
