Hi Everyone, well after months of debate and already owning a MX5 I am hoping that our next car will be a CX-3, really looking forward to a test drive.

Looking to get a SE-L-NAV manual with a budget of around £14,000.

Is there anything that I should look out for or be aware of?

Thanks

Paul

Hi and welcome to the forums.
One of the biggest problems is the AirCon, a quick search here will show you what to look out for.

Hi Paul and welcome to the forums. The CX-3 and MX-5 make a great combination. I think with a budget of £14k you may be able to pick up the Sport Nav. As Andy says there was a bad batch of air con condensers, but that came to light early 2017 I think, so any faulty units should have been replaced by now. Enjoy!

As above i would consider Sport Nav on that budget.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and thanks for the advice. What is the main benefits for opting for the Sport Nav over the SE-L-Nav.

Number one is looks, looks and looks, those 18" wheels make a lot of difference.
LED Headlights
Reversing camera
Bose Sound System
Adaptive front lights
etc...

and of course you have the knowledge that you are driving the top spec vehicle! Worth every penny!

Just try reversing a CX-3 without a rear view camera!

@Strangeways, my 16 reg air-con has recently packed up and is being looked (for the first time I think) at this service time in March!

That is surprising Andy. I know they replaced some condensers with more dodgy ones before they realised what the problem was. My 66 reg went in the first 6 months. Good luck with it!

Bit worried now as I was hoping to reverse the new car into my garage as parking near where I live is a nightmare, was hoping to keep the car for about 7_8 years and wasn't really bothered about the Sport Nav model, but if reversing is a problem then my plans may need to change.
