I hated the Bridgestones that mine came with. At 60 000km, I replaced them with Yokohama Geolander G900s, and am much happier. They're a lot quieter, and that's not the first time I've had noisty Bridgestones.

I cannot wear the Bridgestones out fast enough, but as they wear they will get even noisier and the ride even harsher. I am tempted to fit new tyres long before then and sell the Bridgestones on eBay.

The fact that the face-lifted CX-3 has extra sound deadening proves that Mazda was aware of the noise issue affecting the original version.

I could probably have made mine last for another few thousand km, but had had enough. I do high mileage, and it still took me a year to wear them out.

It's generally accepted that the car suffers from an over firm ride with any road surface noise coming straight into the cabin. I find the 2.0 auto not so bad and as my daily drive is on major roads I don't suffer so much. My only change being to reduce the tyre pressures by a couple of psi which has helped. Having fitted sound proofing to a previous car it's certainly a route I would go down if it becames an issue.

For me 30psi (F&R) seems to work best.
