Hi All,

First post on this forum, so thought I should say hello as well :) Had my CX-3 for two weeks today and so far very impressed.

Have a couple of niggles though and wondered if anyone has a fix for the wobbly front number plate mount? I've searched on here, but no results.
Looks like its held on with two rivets that are splayed out behind the bumper. Probably a quick port of entry fitment. I'm thinking replacing them with a stainless nut and bolt solution should do it.
Maybe it hasn't bothered anyone else....

Welcome

Only had mine a month and so far very impressed too.

Haven't noticed an issue with my didn't number plate will have a check when I get in.

I'm sure others will jump in if it's a known problem

Its a numpty preparing your car issue. The nose of the rivet gun was too big and they’ve clenched them without it being back to the bumper - it happened to mine too. The only cure is drill the rivets off and use the bolts you’ve proposed. The supplied rivers are bigger than anything in my kit. I had to do it on my CX-3.

Thanks for the reply and good to know it's not just mine.
The rivets are quite recessed, so I can see how they get it wrong. Having the right tools does help massively though
I'll hopefully get some time to do that this weekend.

All sorted. Drilled out the rivets and replaced with M6 stainless nuts and bolts.

Now to get a new number plate as that hasn't been mounted straight  Some people should be allowed to use tools!

At least the numberplate sits well - hate the Alfa off-centre setup!!!

M6x16 capheads. That easily allows enough thread for a washer on both sides and a nut. Plenty of space behind the bumper so 20mm long wouldn't be a problem either.

Guess what? I found the instructions that came with the new one I insisted on!

I thought I’d scanned them and so I did!
