With all we know about the dangers of distracted driving, why does this car message my phone every time I drive?
About one minute into the drive, it will message me how far away from my hometown I am.
Very distracting and completely unnecessary.
Anyone know a way to turn this off?
Thank you!

It sounds like your phone is messaging the car via Bluetooth, not the other way around.
Have a look at the location tracking and notification settings on your phone.

Sounds like you have set up a geofence in your phone and it is telling you your phone has moved out of its home area.

One way of stopping it and getting any distraction is to either leave the phone at home or turn it off, that will keep you undistracted and perfectly legal.
