What is it about Brake Fluid that Dealers suddenly need to change it every 2 years

Surely as long as the level is ok and brakes aren’t spongy it should be alright

Because the fluid is hygroscopic and corrosion inhibitors get depleted over time. After two years of use it's generally considered best to replace it to protect brake components from corrosion and to ensure maximum braking performance.

The water content can be measured and an educated decision made. Maybe not all dealers are stealers?

Hardly..- what about wages, rates, insurance, training, marketing, cost of stock carried...

If you are lucky, a nice clean reception area, free drinks, free wi-fi...

So far, Mum@Mazda wins with a 2nd Annual Service at a reduced cost on low 14K mileage for just £149.00. That's over £56 cheaper than ours . . . . and we thought we had a bargain!

I expect there will be a difference in price between fuel types too, so that may be worth adding to your list Geejam ;)

If you go in to your Dealer’s Website and go through the Service Booking process you will get a quote.
As long as they are using the Mazda UK format

You can then go round all of them and do a comparison

I’ve looked at a few round me and they vary from £236 up to £300

Some seem to include some extras and others list them as options

You pay your money and take your chance

From what I can see from the signatures JT, I think yours is the only diesel so far.
