I agree, but I don’t want an oil burner!

Specifying Auto really narrows down choice, probably won’t be changing at 3 years unless there’s a tempting CX 3 update

Sitting in the garage waiting for the car to come round after it's service I spoke to one of the sales team, they said that there would be a new CX-3 radical overhaul coming in 2019, he was hinting that it would be a body re-design. I might wait for that, but it depends what it'll look like, of course! 8-)

It was that lack of choice when specifying a PROPER auto, i.e. a torque converter, which resulted in my purchase of the CX-3.

The new Suzuki Vitara might have been a contender, but the auto was only available in top spec, loaded with silly gimmicks which I did not want or need. At that price level it cost even more than an HR-V CVT auto, and the nearest dealership was in the middle of nowhere.

As I normally buy new and keep my cars for up to 7 years it will probably be a hybrid next, unless battery technology has improved enough by then to make an all electric practicable. There is no mains gas in my village, so on the Economy 7 tariff an overnight charge would cost next to nothing.

The update will probably also include the new Skyactive-X engine. :D

Favourite is another one, as long as FY19 brings something exciting

As the Sport Nav spec with Auto is now a must for us now, there is not a lot of choice out there

CVT rules out C-HR and HRV, price scuppers VAG

What else is out there?

Something with a 13amp plug! :D
SINCE FEB 2018 I NO LONGER OWN VEHICLE

No way, nothing handles like the CX3. I may just add a few HP from BBR when the warranty ends.

Well I'll be collecting my next car this Friday with my CX-3 returning to the Mazda dealer next week who's buying it off me cash.
I've really enjoyed ownership apart from the few oddities that Mazda like to 'entertain' us with.
