So the gossip is a new CX-3 model due in or around July 2018, hence the offers on existing ones, rumour is that it will be bigger, built on the 3 platform, the existing one is built on the 2 platform.
Discuss?
CX-3 Rumour
I agree the 2 platform has been the weakpoint in the CX-3although I'm pretty sure, that they won't change chassis just for a facelift and there has been nothing from Mazda regarding a shift from the 2 platform to the 3 platform.
Maybe when the CX-3 is completely overhauled (in 2-3 years), they will hopefully move to the 3 platform but I don't think it will be just yet (though I'm happy to be proved wrong)

Mazda CX-30 2.0 150HP Aut. Cosmo w. Tech Pack in Arctic White, 2023.
It needs it as it really is only a two seater vehicle. The rear is so tight for passengers, especially when I have the seat fully back and the back rest reclined quite a bit for comfort.

I love it as it is. I wanted a small car, if I wanted something bigger I would have bought a CX-5. I think the 2 platform is fine, that,s what makes so much fun to drive. All I would like is a few extra HP.

Leave it alone and don't fiddle (although, in hindsight, dropping a V6 2.5L under that cavernous bonnet would be rather fun. Yes please.)
