... Will be contacting Mazda UK Customer Services for their comments.
Refer them to the website http://infotainment.mazdahandsfree.com/ ... uage=en-EU where it says "PLEASE NOTE:
– If you do not have access to a computer, you can contact your dealer for updates.
– Mazda will provide free European map updates for 3 years commencing when the vehicle has travelled 63 miles (100km)."
Dealer might need your pre-existing Toolbox login credentials (but not bank account) that the SD card is registered with. It takes time to do, so dealer may be entitled to charge you additional labour costs, but Customer Relations will look into for you I'm sure.

I've had a reply from Mazda UK Assistance but basically they're saying that "all Mazda dealers are individually owned franchised businesses who make decisions on a day to day basis. Some offer to update the maps and others will not offer this service." Also went on about how long it could take - from an hour to a number of hours (surely not with a fast broadband connection you'd expect in a dealership these days) - and thus how inconvenient it could be to their scheduling etc etc. Plus charging might be their admin fee for doing this service. I'd have been quite willing to provide my pre-existing Toolbox login credentials if Mazda dealers aren't allowed to have some kind of administration type override privilege.
I'll be getting the updates done on a friends or relatives PC until Mazda can get their Toolbox software available on the Linux operating system, a forlorn hope I bet even though Mazda UK Assistance said they'd bring it to the Toolbox software developers notice.

Doesn't work on my Apple Mac either but I also have a company Windows p.c. so was able to do it in half an hour. By quoting "from an hour to a number of hours" , by your dealer is questionable.

There is an OS X version of Toolbox which I thought should work on an Apple Mac?

Hi. I have updated the Sat Nav AND worked out how to get TBT on the HUD but entering house numbers still remains a mystery/quirk!! There are backwards/forwards arrows either side of, usually the mid range on a road, but no idea how to select the higher or lower range. e.g. I will see, in the select a house number; < 22 - 44 >.???
