Seems the words 'first' and 'service' are too common to be searched in the forums so....

What should I be paying for a first service - 12 months/5500 miles?

Thanks :)

£139 is what mine cost, but it varies by region

If you search for local dealer on the Mazda UK site and go through the online booking process you will get a quote

Thanks - less than I thought. I was trying to do an online service quote/booking early this morning but the system falls over after you've selected a location - no way to choose a date. I guess I'll have to speak to a real person. Terrifying......

In July 2016 I took out a 3 year service plan at the supplying dealership, payable by monthly direct debit.
The total cost including VAT is £560.70 i.e. £186.90 per year. Well worth it for peace of mind and protection from future price increases.
When booking a service I tell the service department that I am a service plan customer, so there is nothing to pay on the day.

Just checked again, 1st Service last year cost £124 and I’ve just been quoted £199 for 2nd Service, I’ll probably swap it before 3rd is due, so hopefully if the tyres last out that will be it

I think using the dealer is convenient - they'll lend a car or transport you for the duration of the service. We had to wait less than 5 minutes to see the car up on a ramp being sorted! You can have it serviced at any AA approved garage. Got to say been so happy with the quality and performance of the 2.0 petrol Sport Nav and the personal touch of our Mazda dealer Victoria Park in Cardiff! ☺

Soo--just what does the service ACTUALLY include and what does it exclude.? Everyone knows that the actual price quoted is usually then inflated by parts ,labour, advisories -typical examples being brake shoes?..WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED TO KNOW BEFORE COMMITTING
