TMC
I was chatting to Mazda today and they said that TMC was added to all cars from 2017, is this true? Having a 2015 CX-3 I guess I missed out 
CX-3, Sport Nav, Auto, Petrol, Soul Red Metallic, Half Stone Leather, Sep 2015 to Sep 2018.

It might just be a case of updating the MZD-Connect System software, Gus. I'm going to update mine from 56.00.513B to the latest 59.00.545A and I'll let you know if doing that enables TMC. (I'll probably do it tomorrow evening after work).

just to confirm ...tmc was on our 2017 mazda 2 and is also on our new cx3 2018...

Well, I can confirm that after updating the software, I now have TMC working. So, Gus, just pop your car into your dealership when next convenient and ask them to update the MZD-Connect software (assuming you don't want to install any hacks). Oh, and a new update procedure was issued to dealers online yesterday "to avoid update failure", Mazda Service Information Document Ref. No. MME/E004/17.

Thanks for trying that out jtonline. That is excellent news. Any idea how long it would take a dealer to do a MZD-Connect software update? Does the update fix any bugs so I can get them to do it for free?
Sport Nav Petrol Automatic FWD Arctic White plus options April 2016
It takes about 45 mins to complete, but a lot of that time you don't actually have to be in the car. The CMU (infotainment unit) must not power off during the process though, so every 20 mins the clutch (manual) / brake (auto) must be depressed to reset the ignition off timer.
It fixes various bugs but which ones will depend on your current version. Just enabling TMC should be enough for them to do it under warranty I should think, or no house numbers error when entering a destination in the sat nav, or just that the CMU reboots itself for no apparent reason.

Information about road closures and different levels of traffic congestion fed to the sat nav via the radio free of charge.
Tends not to be as accurate with locations as other live traffic services due to the way the info has to be transmitted. The report may appear on a section of main road between two junctions instead of at its exact location. The limited precision can make a significant difference as to how navigation devices interpret the incident, potentially leading to an occasional poor alternative route choice, but it's generally better than nothing.
1. Push the NAV button on the commander or touch screen
2. Open the bottom menu and select information by selecting the i button on the bottom menu
3. Select traffic
4. If a route is active, the system will display incidents that may cause a disruption to your route.
By clicking on all delays, it will provide information such as location of the disruption and anticipated delay time
5. You can also see all events in your region by selecting see all events.
