...but only when driving the auto in manual mode. In Drive, there is no hint of when the AC compressor kicks in or out but driving in manual mode, there is very audible click and the car slightly speeds up or slows down.

It reminds me of older cars with AC. But only when the shift lever is moved to the right to shift manually. My wife just bought the car today. 2016 Maxx DK4.

I'm baffled.

Thanks, Mack

I don't have an auto, mine is the 2.0L petrol and I never notice when the AC switches on or off. I have on some previous cars, but not on the CX3.

Yes... On our manual gearchange CX3 the A.C. compressor can be heard switching in and out - especially at low revs/in traffic - it was something I bought up on the forum earlier in the year and is totally normal, I originally thought there was a problem until others told me theirs did the same

Turn your music down!
You're not missing anything apart from a 'clank' every time the compressor kicks in or out.

Thanks for the quick replies. My mine is now at ease.
I can't help but wonder what difference being in "manual" mode makes.

I'll be looking for daytime driving lights next.

Cheers,
