I've been using Cruise Control for a couple of weeks and noticed that the Cruise Control Set Speed differs from the Speedometer by 1 mph on the HUD display? Worked out this happens at speeds above 50mph. If you set around 42mph the speedometer speed flits between 42 and 43! Once above 50 mph the 2 speeds have a difference of 1 mph. I assume these speeds come from different sources ... or using different rounding methods?

Also noticed that at low speed, if I do around 32mph in 5th gear the car is quite happy, but as soon as I set this speed on Cruise Control I get an indication to change gear to 6th (5->6). If you do this the car really struggles with the low revs! So why the prompt to change gear?

The different displayed speeds is a known CX-3 idiosyncrasy, see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1497

I can't help you with the gear change prompt, because mine's an automatic.

I can't help you either as I never use cruise control, I just use my right foot. :D

Mine is the same, i have set at 39 to get 40mph. Sometimes it just loses the plot altogether!!! I've seen 34 when set to 29!! Don't have the change problem though.

Strangways.
Using paddle shifters I find five forward gears and one reverse , is that correct ?

I decided to be prudent and make an exhaustive search , I took your both of your recomendations in turn, one thing for sure 6 is not in the glove box.

CX3 Red + 6 gears
