I have one in the CX-3 (quite small) and also one in the Nissan370Z (about the size of the road wheels).
I have tried just about all types of music at all volumes, all bass, treble, fader settings in both cars and really cannot hear any benefit. I even disconnected them in both cars and it still sounds the same.
Is it just me?...
....and a question for the "techy" people on here, do I run any risk of damaging the head unit by having them disconnected and removed. It would free up quite a bit of storage space.

The neighbourhood benefits dawg
Jokes aside, I also doubt there's any benefit to the sub... I mean - if you can't notice any difference is there anything that somebody 'informed' could tell you that would change things?
