1. Locate the Command Prompt in the application menu, right-click and select Run as Administrator.

2. Enter net user administrator / active: yes and press Enter.

Log out or switch users to Administrator

Thanks Paul.

OK, this seems to be happening because the application has been digitally signed with a revoked security certificate that expired 02/02/2019.

The way I would overcome the problem is to go to the Type here to search box to the right of your Windows 10 start icon and type

Code: Select all

CMD
and press enter.
Right-click Command Prompt at the top of the list and click Run as administrator
Click Yes to the question "Do you want to allow this app to make changes..."
In the command prompt window, immediately after the C:\WINDOWS\System32\> prompt, type C:\Users\evans\Downloads\Mazda-Toolbox-inst.exe

Code: Select all

C:\Users\evans\Downloads\Mazda-Toolbox-inst.exe
and press enter.
The program installation should then run.

Give that a go and let me know how you get on :ugeek:

I know the solution works, because I helped someone on the CX-5 forum last night with the same issue.

From your latest screenshot I can see that the Windows command prompt that you opened wasn't an administrative one. You need to Run as administrator and you'll then have 'Administrator: Command Prompt' at the top of the window. Then you enter the path to the installation file. For example -

Paul,

Try again with corrections to the file / folder names. In the first instance you've typed ints not inst, and the second time you've typed donwloads instead of downloads :) To ensure you get it right, go back to jtonline's post above and follow the steps carefully. To avoid typo errors you can where he has listed the filename, click on the blue code "Select all" then copy by using Ctrl C. You should then right click your mouse when it's at the C:\Windows\system32> prompt and choose the Paste option before pressing mouse left key then Enter on keyboard. Hope that then works for you.
