There's meant to be better fuel consumption with it but I don't really use it myself.

I've surprised myself today. Steady 100 mile journey from Crawley to the New Forest taking 2 hrs via M23, M25, M3, M271. 58mpg as shown on MZD. Probably nearer 55 but not bad. Shell VPower used.

As a matter of interest did you use cruise control during your journey.

Jep, always use adaptive cruise control, best invention ever , 6,2L/100 Km. :)

I never use cruise control, I use my right foot, it saves on average around 5% in fuel by not using it.

Yes, cruise control was on most of the way - set to the speed limits except for the motorway which I set at 62mph/100kph. Ideal especially with the amount of suicidal traffic on the road.
