Appreciate some advice.... This morning very early, I approached my car with the key in my pocket and was unable to open the drivers door. No sound when door button pressed.
I used the key in the fob to open the door and all hell broke loose.... Alarm !!! Help!!!

Inside, I could not turn it off. Pressing anything I could and finally it went off. Car started as normal.

NB. Later when I stopped for petrol everything worked as normal.

Any Advice?

Only 2 things I can think of :-

Was you car parked in your usual area ie, not near any radio masts etc?

Perhaps the key battery needs changing?

Others will no doubt come up with other ideas?

I had a similar issue when my battery was getting low. They recommend changing the batteries every two years.

From the online manual :-

Battery life is about one year. Replace the battery with a new one if the KEY indicator light (green) flashes in the instrument cluster. Replacing the battery about once a year is recommended because the KEY warning light/indicator light may not illuminate or flash depending on the rate of battery depletion.
