Hi all,

I received a " service reminder " letter from Mazda today.

Cx3 due for its " next service " - This routine service is due by 10/10/2019 or at 17267 miles, whichever occurs first.

I am a bit vexed by this :

Car was first registered on 03/05/18, and I purchased it on 27/03/19.

It received its First Service on 24/01/2019 ( oil and filter change ) at 4767 miles ( same dealer i purchased from ) - and this service is on my MYMAZDA account.

Current mileage is just over 10K miles,

So Mazda are saying it needs another service around 9 months ( and 5k ish miles ) after first one ! Am i missing something here ?

Obviously planning to contact Mazda to discuss, but thought i would see what the guys and gals on here thought.

Thanks

I had one recently. It said it was based on predicted mileage.
I just ignore them and keep to the correct service plan - every 12,500 miles or every 12 months, which ever is the soonest.

service every 12 months... and shop around, prices vary a lot from one dealer to another .

Thanks for putting my mind at rest folks - appreciated.

Yep, before i received the letter, i had planned to get it serviced in Jan 2020 - will stick to that now.

My 2 nearest dealer service options are both around 20 miles away ( Plymouth & Torquay ) but willing to travel further afield for best price/ dealer reputation etc, so if anyone has recomendations for Devon/Cornwall dealers, please let me know.

Supplying dealer is in Bristol, which is a bit too far......

I don't think it helps that the 1st service was carried out over 3 months early.

I would stick to Jan 2020.

Have you considered a prepaid service plan, which would protect you from any future price increases?
There is plenty of information about these plans elsewhere on the forum.
