Looking at that it just means it will be back but without any upgrades which it really needs.

There have already been considerable upgrades on the 2019 model over your earlier 2017 model. It is now a much more refined car.

Yes that’s correct my 2019 is far better than the 2016 I had.

Mazda are desperate to find any way of improving their carbon footprint prior to the introduction of their electric vehicles, so my guess is that it will include the X engine option. Unfortunately the additional cost of the X engine has so far shown that you need to do a very high mileage to recoup the cost. Lets hope that Mazda can improve that in the future.

That's funny, I was reading on the internet about a month or two ago, and it was said that because of the currency rate in Thailand that Mazda was closing the Thailand factory down and moving production to a new factory being built in Japan capable of making the CX3 cheaper, and there would be a gap in production of the CX3 for a while.
As for Mazda dealers saying no more are being made, they would say that as they have the new CX30's to sell at higher prices and targets to hit.

I don’t see the correlation here between replacing a small SUV, the CX3 with a larger C30 when Mazda already have the CX5 in production/sale.
I tried the C30, and personally I didn’t like it at all.
When I come to dispose of this CX3, it won’t be replaced by another Mazda of that I am sure

Check out the UK price comparisons from Nov last year and I think it will explain Mazda's primary reason for the decision - more profit! Particularly on the 4WD model.

The amount of TV advertising for the CX-30 even prior to the current crisis must have cost a small fortune. I can never remember any TV advertising for the CX-3, nor car magazine ads either, so it sold pretty well all things considered.

I will never replace my CX3 with the CX30 and i will need to look elsewhere.

Before the Covid-19 we went round a number of Mazda dealers looking to buy the wife a Mazda 2.

Most sales people said the same thing...the CX3 was a great seller and the CX30 is a harder sell...Mazda you have got it wrong.

News about new CX-3 models published on the Dutch Mazda web site on 11 June 2020 and translated into English:

"From next month there will be a new version of the Mazda CX-3 in the Dutch showrooms. As part of the successful series of CX models from Mazda, it was necessary to update the CX-3 in addition to the CX-5 and this is done with a special version, the Sport Selected, which can now be ordered in a limited edition of 300 cars."

"More luxurious versions of the CX-3, the color Polymetal Gray and the versions with an automatic six-speed gearbox are expected at the end of 2020. More information will follow later in 2020."
