Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Clocked up some miles in Cx3 (which belongs to SWMBO but she very kindly lets me drive it when I've been a good boy . . . )
My only fault (the car I mean) at the moment is a missing front nearside towing eye cover (Yes that was my totally totally fault, and I am in trouble about this. And no the car most certainly did not break down in any way shape or form / need towing etc. etc., it was simply all my fault - Man stupidity, no, sorry that was inappropriate, just all my fault, completely, in every way).
Dumb questions:
1. Where is the best price/reliable/not stolen etc. etc, place to buy genuine version of these items (always unpainted) ?
I want an honest replacement, most certainly NOT one off your Mazda.
(My Mazda dealer is not local and some distance away)
2. Some suppliers describe as "Left" or "Right", is the "Left " the nearside ?
3. The paint I'll get I guess from local car accessory shop, but can anyone recommend a suitable plastic primer (small Quantity)
4. (Hope I've answered this, but any ideas appreciated) These items do not fit well / securely, so I think I'll use a few dabs of clear silicon on the bumper hole edge, before I try to clip in the new cover.
I'll now go and get some fresh air hand washing the car, as the car wash will remove my temporary cover. Sorry to put the Mazda through an Automated car wash, but there are good reasons for that.
I've literally just watched my neighbour drive out in the sunshine in his Mx5. No I'm not green.

A dealer willing to take an order and post the item to you / eBay / Amazon / Scrap yard.
Genuine, new and unused covers DF8G-50-A11 BB and DF8G-50-A12 BB will be black plastic to be primed and painted and cost £3.38 plus VAT from Mazda.
In most cases, left and right will be from the viewpoint of you standing at the back of the vehicle looking towards the bonnet.
