I've been furloughed now, so this afternoon I clay-barred the whole of the car. The liftgate and bottoms of the doors were the most contaminated areas.

The cunning plan tomorrow, weather permitting, is to use a compound to reduce the visibility of the scratches in the paintwork (caused by having to squeeze past other vehicles, horses, dog walkers etc on narrow country lanes with overgrown hedgerows on my commute) and then polish and then wax.

I'm going to have to do it by hand because I can't justify the expense of a DA Polisher (and it would be difficult to get mains power to the car anyway) so I'm not expecting it to be as good as a pro. detailer, but it'll be better than it is now, at least until such time as I start work again. :)

Yesterday I spent some time changing the nearside rear wheel and tyre for my full size spare due to a nail protruding from the tyre tread  I am so pleased I bothered to buy it from fellow member Handy Andy last year - also having found a spare jack, socket handle and socket in the shed around the same time as purchasing the wheel they all now live happily under the boot floor ready for use. Today I may well venture out to see if I can get the puncture repaired..... If it doesn't snow!

My car had it's first service today.well done MKG3000 of Twickenham for brilliant service they came and collected car and returned it fully valeted.Because of being a vulnerable person and can't leave the house they said they would collect the car FOC. It makes a change to applaud a dealer.

I changed the console bracket to the non-CD version since I never play CD's, to gain more space for my phone, came out great and the phone now stays in place! :)
