Very cold night-Luckily warm water cured this in the morning--but will now remember to carry a large tin of de-icer to liberally squirt between the plastics if it happens again in the cold.
Wondering whether to apply WD40 as well ?
Has this happened to anyone else?

There have been numerous problems with the wing mirrors on the CX-3...usually just the nearside one in cold weather.Mine did it and was replaced under warranty as a know fault.

With both of yours doing it may be it is just down to the cold weather but it shouldn't happen.

Further information on this thread.

Mine does it & did this morning. Folded mirrors in with the switch, left car to warm up with the demister on. 15 minutes later it was ok.
Maybe best to manually set mirrors to stay folded until warmed up to avoid stressing the parts.
Maybe better to use a dry PTFE spray & not a standard wet WD40 one.
