Passenger Airbag
What's the point of having the words Passenger Airbag lit between the two heated seat switches the whole time the ignition is on. The airbag warning symbols are self-explanatory without it. I'd unplug the light if it wasn't for the fact that the panel doesn't look easy to remove.

It's to remind anyone who contemplates fitting a rear facing child seat that it's on. I still see kids wandering about between the seats and in the back so however unlikely it might seem to those of us with a brain, there will be plenty out there that need the warning.

I thought that's what the ugly yellow warning stickers on the sun visor were for, but I suppose people can't see those at night

I hate these things, anyone tried removing them yet? I see on the net that some people in the US have come up with a number of solutions but I'm wary of attempting anything. Can't say the dashboard sign bothers me though.jtonline wrote: I thought that's what the ugly yellow warning stickers on the sun visor were for, but I suppose people can't see those at night

I think removing the sun visor from the car and then heating up the sticker with a hairdryer and gradually peeling it off seems the best way. I think you're right to be wary though as I imagine it's easy to stretch or otherwise mark the material, leaving it looking worse and necessitating the purchase of a new visor.
The dashboard sign I can live with; it just niggles me. It looks like a fault, and it's off centre on that panel.

Once you have seen it, you can't ignore it. I agree being off centre is very irritating if you are a bit OCD. I just want to find out how to get the panel off and remove the offending bulb.
