I was (and still is) a Nissan/Datsun fanatic but we wanted something smaller than the Qashqai.
The Nissan Juke was never my "cup of tea" and the new one is equipped with 3-cylinders, which is totally not my thing.
My second Japanese favorite brand was Mazda so switched to the CX-3 2.0 AT SkyCruise

My Cars;
Nissan Qashqai J11 1.2 DIG-T Tekna
Nissan Qashqai J101.5 dCI Tekna Pack
Nissan Almera N15 1.6 SR
Nissan Primera P10 1.6 SLX
Rover 216 Vitesse Van den Plas
Nissan Sunny N12 1.3 SLX
Suzuki Swift 1.3 GS

My Wives cars;
KIA Rio 1.1 CRDI
Citroën Berlingo 2.0D
Peugeot 307 1.6 XS
VW Golf 3 1.9 TDI
VW Golf 2 1.6D
VW Golf 1 1.6D
Mazda CX-3 2.0 AT SkyCruise in Soul Crystal Red

1954 VW Beetle (oval window and full sunshine roof)
MG Midget (got modified for Autocross/Hill Climbs)
Fiat 500 (original - when we were engaged/married)
Fiat 850 Coupe (great drive but rusty)
Renault 5
Triumph TR2
Ford Escort 1100 (when family arrived)
Ford Cortina 1600E
Ford Cortina Crusader
Vauxhall Cavalier Mk 2
Vauxhall Cavalier
Vauxhall Vectra
Skoda Fabia Tdi
Skoda Fabia VRS Tdi
Skoda Roomster
VW Golf Plus Tdi
Audi A1 TFSI

and then of course the CX3 which I would say is the best of the bunch, very comfortable and relaxing to drive, although I do miss the kart like handling of the Audi. Also not forgetting my 1933 Austin 7 RP Saloon which I have owned since 2001 and covered around 40,000 miles in on club runs/holidays with the local A7 Club.

Cheers, Eddie

I part ex’d a Honda CRV for the CX3 because there were some big bills looming. A new clutch, priced at £1200 at my local independent garage! The power steering pump was making a noise and the steering was getting heavy, £200 + labour. In addition the gearbox itself was starting to whine.
I’d normally sell private but was just glad to trade it in despite just forking out for new tyres.

Quite some list that Wass!
Here’s mine in chronological order
Mk2 Escort
Alfasud 1350 Super
Sunbeam Ti
Alfasud Ti
Lancier Beta
Cavalier Coupe
Opel Manta 1.8 Berlinetta
Opel Ascona 1.9
Escort Harrier
Alfa33 Green Cloverleaf
Opel Manta GTE Coupe
VW Passat
Renault Laguna
Honda Accord VTEC
Mazda 3 2LT Sport
Lexus IS200
Porsche Boxster 3.2S
Suzuki Swift Sport
Volvo S60 D5
Mazda MX5
Mazda CX3

Favourites?

The Alfasud Ti could out handle anything on the road at the time and I had immense fun with 95 bhp and 165/75 tyres!
Loved the Manta GTE. Wanted one from new but could not afford one for quite a few years.
The Suzuki Swift Sport reminded me of my AlfasudTi.
The Boxster had one the best engine noises of any car. Immense at and around 7000rpm.
