I also blame the stint in the US for my preference to auto cars.
Can possibly understand that, but in 31+ yrs driving I have never owned an auto (in the 3 continents I have owned cars). Driven them as hire cars, friends cars, but the thought of owning one scares me, sadly likely to become the norm very soon in Australia (now I live back here)

I also drive a manual, but prefer my coffee to an arm rest.
