Hi, guys!
Does anyone of you know what is this empty plug for? I found it under passengers door panel but I guess there is another one on drivers side too.

I would guess it is something to do with the auto door locking when moving off, but not fitted to UK spec cars.
Car sold - but still following Mazda.
hmmm, wonder how easy/difficult it would be to get that feature to work.I would guess it is something to do with the auto door locking when moving off, but not fitted to UK spec cars.

Have owned around 10 cars in my 50 year career as a motorist--and on not one or them have i personally ever had to remove any door panel after a years ownership( a horrible job--and always ultra difficult to snap back!). Forgive my politely asking--but I wonder what inspired this "investigation" in the first place?
Was the window regulator at fault?.......was there something rattling about within the panel?
I am intrigued?

So far I have finished my project on the two right doors. I will take some photos when it comes to other two on the driver side. As for now I can tell that there is no fabric insulation on inner metal side of the door. Not even a tiny piece of anti-vibration /damping/ tape.

Wow! That's unusual! Whenever I've had a door panel off for whatever reason in the past, there's always been a sheet of damping material stuck to the metal.
