Last Sunday I was locked out of my 2016 CX-3. The key fob flashed the indicators but all the doors remained dead-locked.
Note: the key fob battery was not flat.
On the advice of the AA, I used the key to open the driver's door (all the others remained locked) .
Having gained access I started the engine. This procedure rectified the problem - all is now well.

Appreciate any thoughts, long term fix etc.

If you were parked where there were any strong magnetic or electrical fields, the remote won’t work. It’s easier to do than you might think. Phone masts, substations and even those cheap wireless garage alarms can do it. If you park in exactly the same spot and it does it again, take a good look around but more to the point, don’t park there again. If it is outside your front door, take that wireless door bell off!

Or use the parking space instead of purchasing a faraday pouch.😎
