When cornering I'm getting a noise that sounds like a plastic pipe sliding around from side to side under the dash. It also rattles going over bumps. I've completely emptied the glove box/storage locations and searched the rest of the car for any loose objects but found nothing. I've even looked into the screen demister vent to see if there is something like a pen sliding around but they are clear. Also removed the glove box to check but nothing is loose beneath. All vents are blowing air as expected. It's booked in for a service and I've asked them to investigate. Anyone else had this issue?

I found a rattle in my car and it was due to the plastic cover over the forward facing camera etc situated top middle of the windscreen, the cover had become loose, I pushed it back into it's locating lugs and all now is quite.

It's something fairly large sliding around under the dash . If you swing the steering from side to side you can hear it moving and banging when it reaches the end of its travel in both directions.

I wouldn't rule it out. I had a noise on a Saab (bought new). That turned out to be a foreign object, as the dealer put it, when the rear panel besides the back seats was removed. Just something dropped during production.
Car sold - but still following Mazda.
