An honest cyclist has had a minor collision ( 3 short sharp two inch -one deep-scratches) with my black rear off-side door. At the moment I have covered scratches with black wax and polished it up. If the car was 10 years old I would take the repair no further. However I'm tempted to get a quote and get it fixed properly.
What are my options for small repairs like this and is it reasonable to ask my honest apologetic cyclist to make a contribution?

A smart repair can be around 80 to 120 but it is finding someone who comes recommended that is always the problem.

ChipsAway Hitchin?

Never used them myself, but a SMART repair may be all that's needed & will probably be cheaper than a 'proper' bodyshop repair.
Yes, I would say it's reasonable to ask the cyclist for payment, unless you were at fault.
