Hi, all. I've owned my used CX-3 for nearly 3 months now and have a couple of issues I hope somebody can advise me on (neither are critical and both fall very much into the realms of 'First World problems').

The first is that I often use Google Maps/Waze on my phone instead of the built-in Sat Nav. However, the voice instructions go silent when the phone connects to the car via Bluetooth. The sounds play fine through the phone's speaker again if I switch Bluetooth off, but of course I have to pull over somewhere to do that safely and legally if I forget to do it before switching the ignition on and setting off. Phone calls play through the car's speakers ok but sounds from the phone don't seem to. I don't really mind whether the instructions are played through the phone's speaker or the car's - I would just like for it not to go silent and have to keep stopping to sort it out. Is it possible to have the phone's sat nav instructions playing through the car's speakers when connected through Bluetooth?

The other is more a curiosity than an issue as such. When I press the up/down 'Info' buttons on the steering wheel to cycle through current mpg, average mpg, miles remaining, and average MPH; when it reaches just MPH it only presents three dashes. Is this normal? NB: I do mean when in motion; not just stationary on the drive.

Ta muchly.

a) It's worth checking the settings in Waze - see this web page https://support.google.com/waze/answer/ ... d%2Con-ios
and this page for Google Maps https://www.technipages.com/fix-google- ... directions
I don't use Bluetooth though because I installed the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto accessory & connect my iPhone to the car with a USB cable.

b) From your description, it sounds like you've cycled through to the Vehicle Speed Alarm mode and the alarm hasn't been set, hence the three dashes. See page 4-30 & 4-31 of your Owner's Manual.

I meant to say thanks for the suggestions. I got the navigation voice back through the phone following the advice on the links you sent. I just had to switch off the play voice through Bluetooth option in Google Maps.

I've found the page in the manual referring to the speed alarm (it's 4-9 in mine) . I've not tried it out yet but you are right about the function referred to. Thank you.
