Hi

I have a 17 reg with rear parking sensors on the bumper.
The audible parking indicator was screaming at me, when i checked the sensor is missing. Looks like the outer bracket might have got cracked by a stone or someone has hit me with minimal damage. It might have pushed the sensor in but I can't see it, although not taken the bumper off.

My local dealer is quoting me £300 plus for effectively a fit of 4 sensors .

How easy is it to fit a sensor? Looking online there seems to be two types one with a fly cable and one with a right angle connector. Which one is it? Assuming the former as I can't see how a right angle connector would ever dislodge.

Another garage said I would need to recalibrate all the sensors, is that accessible from the menus or would I need to do something else?

Thanks

Each sensor is available separately for about £30 from a Mazda dealer parts department as are the retainers at about £6 each. Part numbers will depend on the exterior colour of the bumper as the sensors and retainers are pre-painted. You may be able to reach up under the bumper to relocate if popped through, if not, you'll have to remove the bumper, which is probably why a dealer quoted so much. I don't think there will be any recalibration required, but I'm not a Mazda technician.
