Looking for information on the difference between the BOSE and none BOSE spare wheel kit, as I've come across the latter for sale second hand but unused, the first kit I've come across locally, however my car has the BOSE.

Can it be adapted to fit, or best to keep looking for the right kit.

Many thanks,

I guess it’s the thickness of the Styrofoam moulding. I have one for Bose and spare wheel if anyone is interested, I’m in South Devon.

At last I've found a BOSE spare wheel kit, albeit there's only the spare wheel, a towing eye, and the polystyrene mouldings, everything else is missing, which is for sale just over half an hour drive from my brother in laws. Mind I think for £60 collected its good value, so I asked him if he wouldn't mind going to pick it up.

Will probably need to get the insulator, jack, retaining bolt, and wrench from a dealer, though I wonder if an aftermarket jack will fit in the wheel arch storage, as I imagine it would be cheaper?

C236-37-790D Scissor Jack is £82.11
B001-56-170C Jack Retaining Bolt is £8.06
LD47-69-671 Wheel Nut Wrench is £17.71
DH4G-56-135 Insulator Mat is £10.15
all plus VAT from a Mazda parts dept. If you go for an aftermarket jack, make sure it has enough lift to raise the tyre off the ground, as not all do.
I put a full-size alloy wheel in the boot of my 2015 and wrote an article in 2016 - http://www.jtonline.info/18-inch-spare-wheel/

Many thanks for the breakdown of parts needed and associated costs, much appreciated.

Do you have any additional information on the CX3 jack itself, such as safe working load and dimensions. Have found a few Mazda jacks on ebay however none of the listings mention the part number, just the potential model they come from, and occasionally safe working load. Unfortunately no CX3 though, closest is from an early model CX5.

Ordered a insulator mat from a Mazda dealer with an ebay shop due to the distance to drive to my nearest dealer, though going by my reg they indicated the correct part is EG21-56-135A. will see what turns up.

Have also found what I hope is the right jack, retaining bolt and wrench from various breakers listing on ebay, again I'll see what arrives.
