As we head in to 2018 will we ever see the MZD infotainment upgrade for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?

I seem to remember it was supposed to come out not long after the new CX-5 was launched and was trailed in 9to5mac.com back in March https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/13/mazda-ca ... es-connect/

As stated in the article, if Mazda have been a partner since 2014 why are we still waiting nearly 4 years later?

It might be worth contacting Mazda UK for more info.

If you decide to use the tweaks method whilst waiting for Mazda to provide official support, make sure you read the instructions on what to do before you or a dealer installs firmware update v59.00.502 or above on the MZD Connect, otherwise adding or changing tweaks will get a whole lot more complicated (more info on the site that igloo_si quotes in his post above).

Mazda have implemented countermeasures in firmware v59.00.502 in an attempt to prevent customizations by any unauthorized software. They have now stated that any issues suspected to be due to unauthorized software will not be covered under the Mazda new car warranty policy.

I vaguely recall reading a forum post somewhere a while back by anchorman, that quoted a roadmap from Mazda which seemed to indicate 2019 as the year for a MZD Connect refresh. They might surprise us all and release it in 2018 ;)

They’ve already announced that you won’t see these changes until 2019 but they have pledged more info this year.
