Thanks for the welcome, I'll hardly ever use it, it will be used by my wife mainly. I prefer little hot hatchbacks with a manual gearbox

It won't take you long to realise this is as much fun to drive as a hot hatch, and I'm told the auto box is one of the best and the paddles are more fun than a gear stick (paddles more fun than a gear stick!!! maybe I dreamt that bit).

I took it for an extended test drive and yes it's a nice drive, but it's not a lot of fun, but it's not designed to be quick and handle well. My wife loved it though so that's the main thing as it will be her car.

Lovin the auto box on mine... but prefer the stick to change rather than the paddles which are useful for checking you're in the highest gear etc when on auto. Very chuckable car.... just wish the sat nav history would work. Better half's got a Jazz '12 cvt..... world of difference

This is my daily run about, had it since new, and within a week had it remapped and engine upgrades so it's running 235bhp. Puts a grin on my face every time I drive it.
I'm a petrolhead but getting old but young at heart lol. Before the st, I'd been running BMW M3's for 6 years, a Boxster and various other sports cars.

The MX5 has the same engine (but detuned) as the CX-3 2.0 petrol. I'm sure I'll get corrected if that's wrong!!! ☺ ☺

my wife's Golf mk7 2.0 gt diesel blue motion that's going to make way for the cx-3

They both have the Skyactive-G engine. The MX-5 is tuned to give 158 BHP against the 120 BHP of the 2WD CX-3.
