Hi I'm new to all this forum stuff.
I purchased a lovely new CX3 in March getting on great with it apart from the Sat Nav which is truly awful. A lot of the time it won't recognise post codes or roads I want. When it does work it has taken me to a location then when doing the return journey takes me home a different way! It is immensly frustrating that a brand new car has what appears to be a completly sub standard sat nav. Does it need an upgrade? I've had a Mazda 3 before this so am used to the system (which I was never impressed with I must say) any suggestions on what is goinf wrong?

So far I've not had a problem with it recognising a valid postcode. As a test, you can check a postcode you've got against the Royal Mail database, here - https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode Also you have to manually enter the space between the two parts of a UK postcode, but if you're used to the MZD Connect system you already know that.

The standalone Sat Nav's I've used in the past (Tom Tom and Garmin) have nearly always worked out a different return route, so I don't think that's an issue with the Mazda inbuilt one.

Various Sat Nav issues are fixed by upgrading the MZD Connect system OS, so yes, it would be worth getting an upgrade done if you're in the EU and currently have anything earlier that 59.00.545 installed.

As i have said on a previous thread the Mazda sat nav is better than a previous Garmin i have used and the routes it has provided have been excellent.

I have never been unable to input a post code and i suggest you give us an example of a post code it dosen't recognize so i can try it on my MZD and see if it fails.

Welcome Steve -

The spaces between the numbers in post codes threw me completely until JT reminded me they had to be actually entered!!

ie DA17(space)8QT 8-)
