Someone on here got the steering wheel changed FOC under warranty/goodwill so you have a chance.

mazda uk said to get the dealer to raise a warranty claim. doing it now

warranty claim approved and schedule for replacement on 7th december

we had the same on a mazda2 that was 15 months old.. replaced under warranty, no problem..
