Hi all,

With the lack of a 12v socket or any type of usefulness in the rear of the CX-3 I am looking at adding my own charging points for the kids in the back
So, I am looking at these options:

https://amzn.to/3rCsczE
https://amzn.to/44YRztR
https://amzn.to/43CT7Zn

I am not sure which would be best though. I am not a fan of drilling into an expensive piece of plastic that might get damaged.
Maybe a couple of female USB plugs hanging out from under the centre console into the rear footwell, or something trailing out from under the console and up into that useless rectangle cubby hole at the rear of the console, without drilling.

Other considerations are:

  • Running a hardwired option through the console from a fuse tap in the front fuse box.
  • Adding a hardwired 12v adaptor from a fuse tap and simply plugging in a USB hub and routing the cable to the rear.
  • Or is there a fuse box in the rear that I could run a cable or two from??
Have you done anything like this? How have you added power to the rear of your CX-3?
Any advice or thoughts welcome.
Thanks,
Stu
