Oil in expansion tank.

Hi,

I have had my 2018 2.0 Petrol sport NAV AWD CX3 for just under 4 weeks, this morning I noticed a large patch of oil under the front end of the car. This oil is coming out of the filler neck of the expansion tank.

This looks like it might be caused by a failed head gasket, does anyone have any experience of this problem, what are the chances of a repair lasting?

The fault has now been identified as a crack in the head, a new head has been ordered.

Sounds like bad luck to me. How many miles has your car done and how much is the likely cost to replace the head?

It has done approx 73000 miles, the car had 3 months warranty provided by trader I purchased it from so they have said they will pay the repair bill, I don't know how much this is costing them.
At the moment they are still deciding if they should fit a new head or just replace the engine.
